Artist’s Bio
Living on the island of Hokkaido in Japan for the past twenty years, Kaika Nakamura credits its natural beauty and the kind, gentle nature of its natives as being influential on his photography. Citing Guy Bourdin and Shoji Uchida as his favorite photographers, Nakamura's work often features the beauty of the female form.

Enjoying both film and digital technologies, Nakamura currently is shooting a Canon EOS 5D. Looking to create his own unique images while building his creativity and development, Nakamura explains, "Portrait, still life, landscape, food… I want to become a photographer who can work effectively in all genres."

I use Profoto products as a partner in my creation. I want to take photos of an exact, brief moment, therefore flash-to-flash consistency and a fast recycle time is critical.
