The event starts at 3:00 P.M. and it’s just a little after 3 now. So far not many people here. As the afternoon and evening wears on, though, more and more folks showed up. Lessee, what gives? There are some kickboxers duking it out on a trampoline, with three photographers hooked up to to one generator. Yowza!! Yes, recycling fast IS a big deal. With each photographer shooting at 10 fps, the Pro-8 Air doesn’t miss a beat. If you think alligators are fast, take a Pro-8 Air for a test drive. I overheard comments like “...this is unbelievable...completely blown away...I’ve never seen anything like it.” Plus, the flash duration was down at around 10,000th of a second, so the images were as crisp as overcooked bacon. |

Carousel Studio’s majordomo Gabriel did a great job of setting everything up. There was an 8-foot umbrella with one pack, two fill lights with two packs and a background pack with head. All connected by the new Pro-8 Air Remote, allowing control of everything from your camera. All total we had maybe 50 or 60 assistants show up and EVERYBODY got a chance to shoot with the new packs. That was cool, but the poor models were worn out. The pictures were great, everyone had a fun time and we all left knowing exactly why this strobe is totally unique. |
